Toro Albala Viejisimo Solera 1922 (Montilla-Moriles): Like an almond alcohol time bomb, as dry as the raisined PX grapes used to concoct it.
Lustau Dry Amontillado Los Arcos Solera Riserva Sherry (Jerez de la Frontera): Monster acidity & booze. Then, almonds & olives take over.

06 C. Donatiello Floodgate Pinot Noir (Russian River): Hefty, strawberry & oak with enough tannin and acidic structure for a long life ahead
07 Sonoma Vineyards Syrah (Sonoma County): A mouthful of blueberry & blackberry jam with pepper on top. Not complex, but a very good buy
